How to use a transfer bonus

Confirm availability first. Transfers are permanent — check that award space exists on your dates at seats.aero before moving any points.
Calculate the effective cost. A +65% bonus on a 70K award means you transfer only ~42,500 points. Run the math before you decide.
Transfer only what you need. Move the exact booking total plus a small buffer. Orphaned miles at a partner are stuck there.
Act before the expiry. Bonuses are announced with short windows. If the expiry is in days, don't wait.
